HELLO KITTY PLUSH - UPDATED RELEASE INFORMATION

There has been a slight change in release information. PEZ has started implementing a new policy for dispensers that are set to change a previous assortment. The new Hello Kitty plush were set for a June 1st release date, however, the new policy states that dispensers that are replacing a previous assortment will ship 30 days after the scheduled release date. Basically, that means that the new Hello Kitty plush will start shipping to stores tomorrow, July 1st. Hopefully that means we will see them in stores within the next 2 weeks.

Keep your eyes open! If anyone finds them in store, please feel free to comment and share where you found them!

MLB CAP DISPENSERS - FINALLY COMPLETE!!!

After months of slowly adding the MLB Cap dispensers to our collection, we have finally completed the set! These look so good sitting on the shelf! I have to say, my favorite by far is the Cincinnati Reds cap!

The new Hello Kitty plush started shipping to stores last week so they should be popping up in stores any day now. Just from experience, the craft stores (JoAnn Fabric, Michaels, etc.) usually have them in stock first. THE ELUSIVE "HOUSTON ASTROS" CAP

We have been slowly collecting the MLB caps and I'm happy to say the last one we need (Seattle Mariners) to complete the set is on its way through the mail right now. Today we received a package in the mail and in it was the "Houston Astros" cap. The "Astros" cap may be the one I've most enjoyed tracking down, mainly because it was so hard to find. It has a very simple design and looks really nice!

NEW ADDITIONS TO OUR COLLECTION

It's been awhile since I have posted any of the new additions we have gotten so I figured today would be as good a day as any. We've been doing lots of trading over the past few weeks and have added quite a few dispensers to our collection. I picked out a few of my favorites from our new additions and pictured them below. I love the new "Winnie the Pooh" and the new "Cinderella" looks great!

Also, we have finally gotten to where we are completing our set of MLB cap dispensers. There are 3 more that we need to complete that set and they are in the mail and on there way now!

PEZ NEWS UPDATES - HELLO KITTY & TARGET PROMO

I picked up a bit of information earlier today about some upcoming releases. The new Hello Kitty plush dispensers have started shipping to stores so you should be seeing them hit the stores within the next few weeks.

The Target promo dispenser that I told you about a month or so ago has been pushed back a little. Originally planned to be in stores in June, the new promo dispenser is now set to start shipping to stores on August 16th and will be in stores a few weeks after.

So excited to pick up these new dispensers!

MARIO COMING TO THE U.S. ????????

A representative from the official PEZ Facebook page gave out a small bit of information earlier today. The representative let on that the new Mario dispenser will be hitting the shelves next year here in the U.S.

By now, most of us have already added that one to our collections so we can only hope that the U.S. version is a new variation. Something to look forward to!!!
 
On the down side, it seems as though the U.S. will only get Mario and not Yoshi or Kinopio.

If you are a part of the PEZHeads group on yahoo then you are familiar with the "PEZ Head of the Month". If you aren't, I'll fill you in quickly. Each month members of the group nominate other members to be awarded "PEZ Head of the Month". Once the nominations are in, all the members vote on the candidates to select a new "PHOTM".  Got it?

This month, I nominated a guy that I feel embodies everything we as PEZ collectors love so much about the hobby. NEW "BOBA FETT" VARIATION - UPDATE

Last week I posted about the new "Boba Fett" variation that popped up on the official PEZ website. You can view that post HERE. Since that post I have acquired a bit more knowledge on the new variation. The updated "Boba Fett" will be a different color than the original release. The original release was grey in color. The updated version looks to be brighter, almost an aqua color. A representative from the official PEZ Facebook page confirmed that the new "Boba Fett" is set to ship to stores on August 1st, 2013 so we should be seeing this one on the shelves in a few months.

HOPEFUL NEWS FOR THOSE OF US THAT STILL NEED THE "POLIZIST FERDINAND"

When the "Polizist Ferdiand" promo dispenser released earlier in the year, I tried everything in my power to acquire one for my little girl. I came very close a few times but was never able to get one. It looks as though there may be more flooding the market soon! Originally, it was thought there was only 800 made. The article below states that PEZ made 50,000 of them! Great news for those of us still looking for it. We should see more of them showing up online over the next few months and hopefully it will help bring the price down to a reasonable cost.

"Candy-cane" villagers

Carinthia Ex-Governor and former traffic officer Gerhard Dörfler gave away for a road safety campaign PEZ candies by almost 70,000 euros.

The "policeman Ferdinand" should teach the Carinthian children proper behavior on the road playful. The major initiative with the friendly character caught on and much media support. For the former traffic officers and Governor Gerhard Dörfler (FPK) it was not done with the road safety campaign. As "candy-cane" he wanted to sweeten the action to the children. At the end, he had to buy big in fall 2011: 50,000 shares and 50,000 shares PEZ dispensers PEZ candies.

The stately costs were split. The bill for the candy dispenser in the amount of € 46,200 was paid by the Department 7/Wirtschaftsrecht and infrastructure, the bill for the goodies in the amount of € 22,800 from the Department 6/Bildung, generations and cultures. The bills were approved by the department heads and Albert Kreiner Gerhild Hubmann. In sum, the "Action PEZ" cost the country nearly 70,000 euros Carinthia.

To the children not only goodies were given away, but 7500 "policeman Ferdinand" toothbrushes. This bill also paid about 18,900 euros, the 6th Division The brushes and goodies are given away completely in the nursery and not be parked as other villagers gifts charges in any stock. Kreiner for the purchases are "justified in the context of action for road safety measures perfectly."

Another acquisition "for road safety" Unacknowledged villagers in summer 2011. Since 1136 piece of safety jackets were bought. The bill also drew about 50,000 euros from department chief Kreiner, it was paid from the funds of the Road Safety Fund. The jackets were given away by villagers and stylized their support to "safety ambassadors". Kreiner looks justified this purchase: The country has the trademark on the reflective jackets.
